Statement from the Council:
The vehicles that have arrived at Solent Beach Car Park are in fact our appointed contractors and we have arranged with Car Parks for them to use this over the next few weeks whilst they carry out a programme of work for us to 12 sites all over the Highway Network.
This is pre-arranged and authorised and there is no cause for alarm. We’ve asked our contractor, Kiely Bros Ltd, to put out some signage in the car park to offer reassurance to the Public that they are there with our permission probably until the end of April.
The work being carried out is Retread carriageway recycling and they’ll be working in:
Lancaster Drive
Jumpers Road
Canford Magna
Guest Avenue
Howeth Road
Southbourne Overcliff Drive
Clarence Park Road
Hobbs Road
Wootton Gardens
Wootton Mount
Heron Court Road
Beaufort Road
