HENRA’s Pop-Up Bar at the Summer Fayre

It was great to see so many HENRA members enjoying the pop-up bar at the Summer Fayre held in the Community Garden at St. Nicholas’ on 6th July.

The bar made a profit of £252 which was donated to the roof fund, taking HENRA’s total contribution to £1,145. Thanks to the generosity of Hall & Woodhouse we have several cases of Badger Beer left (with best before dates well into next year) which will be raffled off at our December meeting, further contributing to the project cost. Work on the new roof is expected to start in the Autumn.

The Pimm’s and Lemonade was very popular, as was the beer kindly donated by Hinton’s Drop the Anchor brewery and Blandford’s Hall & Woodhouse.

Not only did HENRA members enjoy the bar, but they also helped increase footfall at the Fayre, which raised £1,057 for church funds (up 30% on the previous year; up 60% if you include the bar profit for the roof fund).

Put 5th July 2025 in your diary – the weather’s going to be great and the garden will be looking wonderful!
