Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride, 19th May

On Sunday the 19th of May 2024, The Distinguished Gentleman’s Ride takes place in cities across the globe to raise funds and awareness for prostate cancer and men’s mental health on behalf of Movember. The Bournemouth-Poole ride has become the largest in the UK and one of the largest worldwide with around 1000 riders.

Two of our Committee members are taking part in the HENRA team and if you would like to helpĀ in raising funds and awareness for these causes by donating, you can do so hereĀ https://gfolk.team/HENRA.

If you would like to watch the spectacle and cheer us on (or avoid it!) the route will be as follows:

Depart Poole Quay at 09:45, through Poole Park, round Sandbanks, through Canford Cliffs, up to Westbourne to Bournemouth Pier.Ā  After a break at the Pier we then ride along the promenade to Boscombe Pier, along the Overcliff Drive, up through Southbourne,Ā  and Boscombe to the Wessex Way, Hurn, Sopley and finish at Destination Triumph (Stony Lane, Christchurch) with The End of the Ride Event at approx 12:30.

In previous years the ride has come through Hengistbury, passing St Nicholas Church, but the route has been changed for this year šŸ™.
